Objective |
- In light of the Great East Japan Earthquake, we have decided to dedicate the conference to reconsidering today's society and its characteristic mass production and mass consumption. From an international perspective, we will rethink what constitutes truly affluent lifestyles, and we will envision the Japan of the future, the one that will be newly created through reconstruction following the recent earthquake. The conference will not only engage in discussions, but will also focus on giving concrete form to the conference findings through the drafting of policy proposals and viable measures.
